"I have read a lot of the testimonials on your site and the info regarding that this is "clique" free! That was one of my biggest disappointments when I started working, some women just don't get past "high school". I also have been down the "try to rally everyone to do things" road but I find they back out and maybe it's a sign of the times but in order to save face and appear very busy, people would rather pass on outings by pretending that they are already "booked" which later on you learn was not really the case. Plus so many claim to want to try new things but when you call their bluff they are too timid to step outside of their comfort zones (then still complain about life being boring!). "There are not enough 'thank yous' or other synonyms to express my sincere gratitude for the efforts by the following women; . Sarah Hasan, Sandra Downey, Jennifer Downey, Barb Ewanchek, Jenny Bilenduke, Ann Marie Pellat and last but not least Charlene Crews. These women volunteered their time, in a small hot, and I do mean, HOT kitchen on Thursday, June 29, 2006. We hosted a fundraiser at a local church, providing dinner and show to over 100 people. These women cooked, cleaned, prepared, and never complained. The evening was a tremendous success and we raised over $2000.00 towards creating a sensory stimulation room for our clients on the Autism Spectrum Disorder Continuum. For an event to be a success it takes work on various levels, from many different people. Their spirit and their enthusiasm towards an often 'thankless' job renews my faith in the merits of hard work and commitment. I am forever in your debt. "About a year ago I joined The Girls Night Out Club with the goal of expanding my social network. Being involved with the Girls Night Out Club has helped me socially and psychologically. It forces me to try and stay connected with women socially, it has helped me to try and balance my life with more social activities and try things I wouldn’t do by myself; last March I went to The Briars Spa Resort with the group, in July I am going to Casa Loma. The events are organized for me; all I have to do is sign up and pay for the events. I have met a lot of really great women of all ages and professions. If you want to stay healthy mentally and physically, you must invest in yourself. It takes time and a little organization, but I think it’s worth it. ~ Jenn Hamoen
